Image + Text [Relics Revisited]
Continuing with the theme of my previous exhibition at SOL Gallery in 2024, Relics for future generations, which incorporated paintings of figure groupings, text, and installation elements to create "absurd icons of the modern world". This new body of work utilises figurative artworks from past projects for further examination and investigation, adding text to communicate complex notions through simple statements. On one level, alchemising the past, and on another creating multidimensional messages that resonate with others individually, and speak to the many collective issues of the moment, inviting curiosity to incorporate and interpret multilayered understandings of our present and future. The works on this page are in progress, and I will add them here leading up to my upcoming exhibition at SOL Gallery Melbourne, 22nd Sep - 4th Oct 2026, Opening 6 - 8pm Wed 23rd September.
