Archive 2005 - 2018

My initial painting practice drew on existing cultural images of public figures from the media. It repositioned them within a new allegorical framework, as markers of individual and collective identity, to enable consideration of varying perspectives on personal and collective meaning. This evolved into an expanded investigation through paintings of figure groupings, incorporated into installation and text-based artworks exhibited at SOL Gallery Fitzroy from 26th of June to 7th July 2024. A selection of these archive works has been revisited and recontextualised in my upcoming show at SOL Gallery in September 2026.
